Sprinkler Systems in Maryland
Preventing fires is what we're all about at Metfire. To do this, we provide home and business owners throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with sprinkler systems from Clinton, MD, as well as needed services, including sprinkler installations and inspections.
To better serve our clientele, we do all of our design in-house using our state-of-the-art, sprinkler-specific software. This ensures accuracy and design optimization and allows our designers to work closely with the installers, the fire marshal, and even your architects. It also allows us to expedite our projects and means there's no waiting for outsourced design professionals to apply for permits.
We're proud to be the number-one residential sprinkler contractor in the area. Think of us as a one-stop shop for all of your fire sprinkler needs. From new installations to tenant fit-outs to inspection services – if you need it, we can do it!

Products
Let us offer you a variety of sprinkler heads that meet the needs of the residential and commercial buildings you work in. These include our:
Semi-Recessed Pendent
This is the most common sprinkler head in residential homes, with the head sticking down from the ceiling about 1 1/4".
Semi-Recessed Sidewall
We typically install the sidewall version of the standard head (shown above) on the top floor or closets or stairwells, where locating a sprinkler head in the ceiling is impossible.
Flush Pendent
This head is visibly smaller than the semi-recessed sprinkler head, having a smaller profile and escutcheon plate. Though more "attractive," these heads often cannot be used due to high-pressure demands.
Flush Sidewall
This is the sidewall version of the flush head shown above.
Concealed-Domed Plate
This head sits flush against the ceiling. Domed plates often have a lower pressure-demand than the flat plate concealed heads shown below.
Concealed-Flat Plate
This head is the most common upgrade. The sprinkler head sits flush with the ceiling (with approximately a 1/8" gap between the plate and ceiling). The plate will "activate" and drop off at a temperature of 140° (temperatures may vary). In contrast, the sprinkler head behind the plate activates at a higher temperature.
These heads have stricter design criteria than the semi-recessed heads. We don't install these in some areas – including unfinished spaces, buildings with ceiling slopes and beams, and places with above-normal ambient temperatures.
Dry Sidewall/Dry Pendent
We install these in unconditioned portions of the building. The most common is in garages – where the local authority having jurisdiction has amended the code to include garage areas in the home's sprinklered space.
